Browsing history refers to the record of the websites that you have visited while using a web browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc. It typically includes the website’s URL, the date and time of your visit, and any search terms you used on that website. The browsing history is stored on your device and can be accessed by opening the browser’s history or using the browser’s search function. This feature is designed to make it easier for users to find and revisit websites they have previously visited. The browsing history can also be useful for troubleshooting issues with the browser or website. However, it can also be a privacy concern, as it can potentially reveal sensitive information about a user’s online activities to others who have access to the device.

Incognito mode
Incognito mode in Chrome is a privacy feature that prevents the browser from saving your browsing history, cookies, and search history. When you use incognito mode, any new cookies are deleted after you close the window. Additionally, your browsing history is not saved, and your search history will not be stored in your Google account. This can be useful if you’re using a shared or public device and want to keep your browsing private.
To run incognito mode in Chrome:
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the Chrome window.
- Select “New Incognito Window” from the menu.
- A new window will open with the incognito icon (a hat and sunglasses) in the top-left corner.
- You can also use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + Shift + N” (Windows/Linux) or “Cmd + Shift + N” (Mac) to open a new incognito window.
Alternatively, you could also right click on chrome icon on task bar or on the chrome icon on desktop and select “New incognito window” option to open the private browsing window.
You can also use the “File” menu and select “New Incognito Window” or “Open File” and select “New Incognito Window”
