To disable automatic app updates on an iOS device (such as an iPhone), follow the instructions below:
- Go to the phone’s settings by clicking on the cogwheel icon;
- Scroll down the page and click on “App Store.”
- Go to the “Automatic downloads” category and then next to “Application updates” move the slider to the left. Ready! In this simple way, you have disabled automatic app updates on your iPhone and now you can manually decide which programs you want to update;
- If you want the apps to be automatically updated but only when you have a Wi-Fi connection, then go to the “Mobile Data” area and move the slider to the left next to the “Automatic Download” option.
